The company you know today as Nile carpets, started in 1960 when Mohamed El-Mezain decided to establish a handmade rug factory in Fowa, Kafr El-Sheikh, Egypt. Resting on hard work and reputation for high quality, Nile carpets has grown to become one of the leading rug factories in Egypt. Over a period of almost 60 years, Nile carpets has managed to develop a highly qualified staff that has gained huge experience in rug design, production, and customer delivery.
In 1997, Magdy El-Mezain the eldest son of Mohamed El-Mezain was responsible for establishing a network of business connections around the world. His dedication to the importance of design and selecting the right material for each rug, and his commitment to designing and producing handmade rugs of the highest quality is the reason why our products are now found in most of European countries.
